Our friends Verst are an incredible indie-rock band with psychedelia woven into muscular rock and pop as art song structures with layered guitars and lush vocals.
"Behold San Francisco’s best-kept indie rock secret, Verst/ Starship Crash is a noise-pop masterwork that infuses ‘90s sonic wizardry with innovative melodies, both barbed and sublime."
- Pandora
"Psychedelic yet lucid, the album and sound aesthetic is so refined and well structured, an impeccable innovative listen for any occasion—a classic depiction of the 2015 indie rock essence."
- Indiebeat
and of course, us!
From Oakland, CA, Omnesia is an electropop duo - synth meets big guitar and big beats, fronted by the androgynous and provocative vocal chameleon Medella Kingston and powered by producer/guitarist M2. New Wave and the 80's inform our sound, but so does Rock and EDM. Folks in England think we play House Music. We're a lot of different things all at once.
Writing about music is like dancing about architecture, but we've been called the modern love child of Muse, Eurythmics, Dresden Dolls, Garbage, Blondie and Sioixsie and The Banshees. With a little Sade and St. Vincent mixed in.
"Very moving, jaw dropping, aural sensory stimulation in your music! Haunting vocals, enthralling melodies... I love it! Keep up the top notch composing."
- Aneurythm
“From a review of Omnesia's new dark art electro-pop album "Pankilller" by MIKEWHITEPRESENTS, London: “What I wouldn’t give for a very fine day with you, where I laugh more than I’m used to” If the twisting, eccentric meldings of electro-pop melodies and deep, chugging techno bass lines swung beneath the cool, nurturing guidance of an Annie Lennox meets Ms. Kittin vocalist is the place you want to head to this Fall, then Omnesia’s latest album “Painkiller” has got to be the finest prescription your House Doctor always kept locked away in his medical cabinet. -Mike White, MIKEWHITEPRESENTS, London”
